"One of the best moments of the entire show was lead by Nick Berninger, as Julian Marsh, singing “Lullaby of Broadway,” which caused the audience to pause for a moment in awe before erupting into waves of applause." - Nathan Top, League of Cincinnati Theatres "Nick Berninger was an aptly commanding presence as Julian Marsh, and impressed with "Lullaby of Broadway" and the reprise of the title song that closes the show." - Scott Cain, Talking Broadway "Nick Berninger’s voice soars as Julian Marsh, which is a very difficult role to play." - Kirk Sheppard, The Sappy Critic "Nick Berninger was strong in his aged-up role. Solid performance..." - Rob Bucher, Behind The Curtain Cincinnati The D'Ysquith Family, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder at Clinton Area Showboat Theatre "Nick Berninger is absolutely amazing – a virtuoso. I won't give anything away regarding his Gentleman's Guide function, but you'll see him a lot and love him more with each scene. " - Pamela Briggs, River Cities' Reader "Nick Berninger plays the entire D'Ysquith Family, who has to die eight times, to the delight of the audience...superb in his role(s)." Greg Naftzger, KROS Radio Nicely Nicely Johnson, Guys & Dolls at University of Cincinnati - CCM “When you think they’ve topped it, here comes “Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat,” with masterful precision by the group that really understands movement, being led by the triple threat of Nick Berninger as Nicely Nicely Johnson, with professional comedic timing and delivery. He knows how to punch the jokes.” - Liz Eichler, League of Cincinnati Theatres “‘Sit Down You’re Rocking The Boat’ shows off the cast’s impeccable comedic timing, as well as the vocal capabilities of Nick Berninger who played Nicely-Nicely Johnson… the number is a sure hit.” - Anne Simendinger, The News Record “As Nicely-Nicely Johnson, Nick Berninger brings down the house with ‘Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat.’” - Scott Cain, Talking Broadway Pharaoh, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Clinton Area Showboat Theatre "Nick Berninger, meanwhile, plays Pharaoh winningly, as the superstar the character is meant to be – and if Berninger isn't careful, he'll become a superstar, too." - Pamela Briggs, River Cities' Reader Emcee, Cabaret at Clinton Area Showboat Theatre “Berninger commands the stage with both a carnival barkers booming voice and a natural knockoff physical comedy and timing. His voice was at times as angelic as a boy soprano’s, as in the song ‘Married,’ but Berninger’s demeanor could change as fast as that of a pit bull protecting her litter. It’s a riveting performance.” - Mark Ruebling, River Cities’ Reader Scuttle/Chef Louis, The Little Mermaid at Clinton Area Showboat Theatre “And talk about a great talent, was hilarious in both his roles as both Louis and Scuttle… Not only is Berninger a huge personality on stage but he also wowed us with a very entertaining tap dance. Berninger frequently stole the show with his ability to change his voice in the most interesting and funny ways, going from a high pitched shriek to a baritone in a matter of seconds, and the audience erupted in laughter.” - Rochelle Arnold, River Cities’ Reader Uncle Ernie, The Who's Tommy at Clinton Area Showboat Theatre "Another noteworthy performance is that of Nick Berninger, who portrayed Tommy’s abusive and alcoholic Uncle Ernie... Berninger’s rendition of “Fiddle About” was chilling and frightening." - Rochelle Arnold, River Cities' Reader Annas, Jesus Christ Superstar at Clinton Area Showboat Theatre “Nick Berninger, a true tenor, nicely transformed into this haughty high priest… Berninger’s stage presence and voice intonation were both right on point.” - Rochelle Arnold, River Cities’ Reader Broadway Our Way: A CCM Celebration at Feinstein's/54 Below "While all the acts were wonderful, particular standout were Veronica Stern & Nick Berninger's 'Suddenly Seymour'..." - Stephen Mosher, BroadwayWorld.com |
